The Build Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing software builds for our development, testing and production environments. This person collaborates with Development, Testing and Network Operations Center to promote changes through development and testing iterations through production implementation. This person drives and delivers automated build solutions throughout the SDLC.
Duties:1. Coordinating simultaneous releases for multiple projects.
2. Debugging build issues and working with individual from other teams to facilitate fixes.
3. Responsible for generation and management of builds for pre-production environments.
4. Take charge of software configuration and release management.
5. Coordinating simultaneous releases for multiple projects.
6. Branching and merging of source code as needed.
7. Communication of successful release to targeted groups.
8. Orchestrating continuous integration process.
9. Attend required release meetings for different ongoing projects.
10. Continually seeking methods to enhance and improve upon current processes.
11. Flexible work hours are required as there is weekend and occasional after hours work required.
12. Create and maintain detailed release plans and release procedures.
13. Assist QA in basic testing and running automated regression tests post deployments.
Qualifications:College degree or 2-4 years of Build and Configuration Management
1 - 2 years of experience in build configuration
Intermediate experience with C# and .NET 3.0/3.5
Intermediate SQL scripting experience
Understanding of Subversion (SVN), VSS or comparable version control products
Experience with the SDLC in an agile environment
Experience with Cruise Control application
Software testing and quality assurance
Experience with Telecommunications
Experience with Call Center Technology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and good troubleshooting ability
