Parallel HR Solutions is searching for TWO top-notch Mechanical Design Engineers for immediate openings with our global client�a medical device company. Experience in product development life cycle is essential.

The Advanced Product Development group at our client�s Utah site designs and develops needles, syringes and intravenous catheters for medication delivery, pre-filled injection devices, surgical blades and scalpels, regional anesthesia delivery devices, and critical care monitoring devices. These innovative products serve customers such as hospitals and clinics, physicians� office practices, public health agencies, and healthcare workers around the globe.

Duties:As a Mechanical Design Engineer in the R&D group, you will lead and contribute to prioritized product development projects. The Mechanical Design Engineer will:
� Provide Project Leadership
o Effectively direct (and potentially lead) the work of other engineers and laboratory technicians to achieve objectives as necessary
o Identify, break down and solve complex problems, and provide technical direction to others
o Independently plan and execute to achieve design and development objectives
o Participate as a member of a cross-functional team or lead a cross-functional team to deliver to business-critical product development commitments
� Impact Project Execution
o Using expert technical skills, conceive, plan and lead development activities from concept through successful commercialization
o Leverage understanding of first engineering principles, advanced engineering methods, data and judgment to influence the course of product development activities
o Develops deep customer understanding and identifies unmet needs and potential new product concepts
o Ensure compliance all quality policies, procedures and practices as well as with all local, state, federal and safety regulations, policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Required Education:
� MS degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience, and/or PhD degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

� Experience in product development life cycle essential.

Skills
� Demonstrated basic and advanced engineering skills (including CAD with preferably 3-D experience)
� Tolerance analysis
� Innovative and Brainstorming with strong technical judgment
� Medical device experience a plus but not necessary
� Packaging experience a plus
� Understanding of disciplined product development processes and quality requirements, regulatory a plus
� Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills; Results driven and action oriented
