| Description: | Parallel HR Solutions is looking for an IBM AIX expert systems administrator/engineer.
NOTE: Relocation to Salt Lake City, UT is covered for the selected candidate.
What will you do as the Senior AIX Sys Admin?
� Work �hand-in-glove� with systems architects in designing enterprise class solutions based on the principles of redundancy, data integrity, security and recoverability.
� Engineer solutions to meet customer requirements based on current and future server platforms.
� Draft, update and follow best practices and standards documentation.
� Coordinate and perform maintenance activities in a large environment composed of a mix of different UNIX and Linux platforms and configurations.
� Trouble-shooting hardware, software and network related problems.
� Perform performance analysis and tuning for servers hosting large databases and other OLTP systems.
� Engineer server virtualization solutions to reduce cost and increase efficiencies.
� Good customer relationship skills.
� Innate understanding of the value of establishing and living efficient processes.
� Ability to adapt and learn new concepts and new software products.
� Able to work under stress and handle multiple critical priorities.

| Duties: | What qualifications must I have?
� Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
� Minimum of 8 years of progressive IBM AIX administration experience.
� Excellent UNIX performance tuning and analysis skills.
� Strong skills administering UNIX server systems utilizing SAN technologies.
� 6+ years experience in designing, implementing and supporting highly secure architectures.
� Strong network skills with TCP/IP, RCP, routing, proxy servers, IP load balancing required.
� Extensive knowledge of web technologies, operating systems, computer architectures and proven experience as a system administrator.
� Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Capable of producing quality documentation.

| Qualifications: | Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints currently worthy to hold a temple recommend.
What qualifications will improve my chances?
� Experience with administration of Linux (SLES, RHEL) and Solaris a plus.
� Experience with virtualization technologies (PowerVM VIO, ESX) a plus. |
