Major Duties
General:
The selected candidate will become one of the leaders of Logitech’s rapidly growing digital video security business and lead high-performance, multidisciplinary consumer electronics design teams in developing next-generation products.
Position Description:
Senior program managers play a key role in driving Logitech's worldwide leadership in video security cameras.
Excellence in the position requires talent, skill, and imagination in managing across R&D functions, including collaborating with and leading electrical, mechanical, optical, packaging, quality, and manufacturing engineering groups to deliver high quality, competitive products. Program managers work closely with product marketing and engineering management to define program goals and objectives.
Proven experience and success in project management for state-of-the-art consumer electronics hardware products is a key requirement. Candidates will have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects across diverse engineering and operations disciplines located around the world, and in supporting integration of Software with Hardware to create complete product systems. They support the development of project/program plans, schedules, and budgets, and develop and drive processes for project tracking and risk management.

Overall responsibilities:
• Full product life cycle management (from concept to end of life)
• Leadership and management responsibility (scheduling, cost, and prioritization) for worldwide development team (i.e. Engineering, Marketing, and Operations)
• Support Marketing and Engineering teams during new product and technology concept exploration and product definition
• All market segments and regions
Specific responsibilities include:
• Provide clear, creative, decisive leadership and frequent direction to the worldwide development team consisting of Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to ensure that projects are successfully executed and related business objectives are met.
• Establish and manage aggressive but achievable schedules and cost targets for products/projects
• Identify and budget for human and financial resources necessary to execute project plans.
• Enhance the value of current products (i.e. improved cost, quality, performance) to assure constant competitiveness of Logitech’s products in the marketplace.
• Serve as the primary contact for Logitech’s Taiwan and China development, manufacturing, and logistics organizations on all product-related issues.
• Track, manage, and communicate appropriately on project issues and risks, assuring team and management visibility and mitigation.
• Manage external partners and key suppliers to assure on-time, on-budget delivery of project related services and components, and develop contracts with such partners as required.
• Coordinate operational documentation functions including creation and management of Bills of Materials, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Manufacturing Changes (MCOs) for products within the Program Manager’s assignments
• Communicate clearly and regularly with the local project team as well as with the broader organization as appropriate (including reporting at weekly Project Review meetings)
• Lead continuous improvement of the company’s Product Development Process and capabilities.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
Senior PM responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams in the development and execution of plans, driving design/feature tradeoffs, risk identification and resolution, milestone deliveries, budget development, key resource identification and tracking, and status reports for multiple projects. Great program managers are creative leaders, passionate about being and building the best, and energetic self-starters. Successful products will be market triumphs that delight Logitech customers by meeting schedule, cost, and customer experience targets. Candidates must have a solid understanding of the consumer electronics market, development processes, and all aspects of the electronics product life cycle.
Required Skills/Experience:
• 8+ years experience in consumer electronics project/program management.
• Demonstrated success in organizing, managing, and motivating high technology R&D teams to achieve and exceed goals.
• Development team leadership skills, including preparation, documentation, and timely communication of requirements, design specifications, program issues and results.
• Ability to develop comprehensive project timelines using Microsoft Project, and successfully manage 500+ task projects from conception through volume mass production. Experience with Cadence methodology for project planning and schedule development is a strong plus.
• Ability and desire to work in a multi-cultural environment across the globe, to travel internationally and domestically, and to work hours suited to supporting teams and partners in Asia.
• Solid understanding of product testing methodology and requirements, including agency certifications such as FCC, CE, and UL.
• Understanding of wired and wireless networking, industrial and user interface design, basic electronic and mechanical engineering, and manufacturing design and systems.
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral, in English; additional languages a definite plus.
• BS in EE, ME, and/or equivalent experience in a related field required; PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience in PC, Macintosh, or embedded software program management
