| Duties: | Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Facilitates the efficient delivery of patient care, support the licensed staff & work under the direction of the nurses & physicians in rendering healthcare to patients. Acts as a chaperone for health care providers during patient examinations as requested & assists with a variety of procedures. Monitors & cleans patient rooms & instruments, reordering & stocking exam rooms. Answers phones, fowards telephone messages & under the direction of licensed staff, schedules appointments, procedures & diagnostic tests. |
| Qualifications: | Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or current certification as an EMT- Intermediate in the state of Utah is required. Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card or obtain one within one month of hire; demonstrated phlebotomy skills and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Demonstrated proficiency in the specific clinic�s specialty skills within six weeks of hire is required.
PREFERENCES
Work comfortably in a very busy, team oriented environment with other MA/HCA�s, andrology staff, nurses, physicians and other staff members. Prefer 1-2 years working as medical assistant in clinical setting or medical office, preferably women�s health or gynecologic care. Ability to multi-task, maintain patient confidentiality, and spanish speaking a plus. Must be reliable, quick learner, team player and take direction from multiple sources.
