| Description: | Leadership position with the Child Care Coordinating Office for individual with deep administrative experience and expertise in early childhood care and education. Responsible for:
- Promoting a systems approach to early learning and development for young children and families
- Focusing on the components of a strong early care and education system
- Supporting the replication of best practices across the community
- Building an infrastructure for child care quality that spans a wide variety of early care and education options on campus

| Duties: | 1. Provision of Child Care Resource and Referral Services to University Faculty, Staff and Students including:
Maintains yearly demographic data on 9 University Child Care Programs
Maintains the Child Care Coordinating Office Website
Provides counseling, needs assessment and compilation of individual consumer education packets to University families requesting information on child care services
Provides one-on-one counseling to high risk parents needing additional support on program selection
Provides follow-up resources to high risk clients or families with unique care needs (international students, parent or child with a disability)
Maintains an early childhood/parenting resource library for University families and campus child care staff
2. Campus Program Coordination and Quality Assurance including:
Serves as Chair of the University Early Care and Education Director�s Coalition (organization with leadership representation from 9 campus programs)
Provides resources and technical assistance to individual programs upon request
Supports National Accreditation endeavors of campus programs
Development and implementation of training, workshops and conferences for program directors and staff
Serves on campus and community advisory boards
Serves as a mediator between programs and parents
Explores national and local funding resources as well as grant writing assistance to campus programs
Works with campus organizations to provide volunteer services and donations to child care programs
3. Administrative Oversight of ASUU Student Child Care Program including:
Provides strategic planning and direction for program goals; estimates budgetary requirements; implements policy and procedure guidelines
Ensures program compliance with regulatory agencies (Department of Health and Child Care Licensing)
Data collection and annual reporting
Oversight of hiring, payroll, and termination procedures for 30 hourly staff
Bi-annual Performance Evaluations of director and Curriculum Specialist
Oversight of program enrollment and fiscal obligations for 120 families on a semester basis
Special programming, planning and evaluation of services sponsored by ASUU
Provides leadership and organizational support to program Advisory Board
4. CCAMPIS Grant Administration, OED Trio Division including:
Submits grant application every four years
Provides grant administration oversight
Provides annual and final reporting to the OED
Collaborates with other state and national recipients on quality assurance issues
5. Campus and Community Representative on Early Childhood Issues including:
Represents the University on community boards and committees regarding early childhood issues
Develops position statements and topic papers on early childhood issues
Participates in statewide conference planning and implementation

| Qualifications: | Bachelor�s degree in a related area, or equivalency; eight years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills required. Four or more years experience in a responsible administrative position related to early childhood care and education desired.
