Description:This position�s primary responsibility is supporting the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tool for the University of Utah Health Sciences Center and Main Campus. The EPM tool used by these areas is SAP�s BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation (BPC). BPC is the application used in conjunction with the annual budget and planning process as well as year round financial reporting. Additional responsibilities include:
� Ad-hoc SQL data retrieval and analysis from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and disparate IT systems.
� Develop reports and dashboards using SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise for the executive management teams in the Health Sciences Center and Main Campus.
� Act as a liaison between the IT community and the business users in conjunction with these responsibilities.

Duties:� Supports and maintains SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation (BPC) EPM tool including ETL processes, security, data flow, input templates and reports;
� Maintains and builds views and tables in the EDW to support SAP BPC;
� Creates ad hoc queries and reports with SQL in Oracle and SQL Server;
� Audits and maintains data integrity and accuracy between PeopleSoft (GL, HR, Dimensionality), the EDW, and SAP BPC;
� Participates in gathering business requirements, define underlying data sources and transformation requirements;
� Effectively communicates with various teams and stakeholders, including escalating technical and process issues to the appropriate responsible individual and committees to help resolve conflicts;
� Recommends architectural changes that maximize system performance, stability, and maintainability;
� Creates Web Intelligence reports and dashboards for executive level management
Qualifications:� Ability to write advanced SQL queries and extract data from disparate data sources;
� Five to Seven years of experience in Data Warehousing and/or EPM/BI support and development;
� Knowledge and understanding of industry leading EPM and BI tools such as BusinessObjects, Cognos, or equivalent;
� Bachelor degree in Computing Science or related field or equivalent
� Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skills;
� Multi-tasking, able to manage and deliver multiple tasks within short timeframe;
� Good oral and written communication skills

PREFERENCES
� Graduate degree in Computer Science, Public Health, Business, or Information Systems;
� Higher Education and Academic Health Care industry knowledge and experience
� Advanced SQL (Transact and PL/SQL), ETL and data analysis skills;
� Strong data modeling skills (Normalized and Multidimensional for Data Marts, including Star Schema, Snow-Flake Modeling, Fact, and Dimensional Modeling);
� Knowledge and experience working with Oracle and SQL Server DBMS, and Microsoft Analysis Services;
� Strong understanding of hierarchal data and data models;
� Advanced Excel skills;
� Experience with PeopleSoft human resources and general ledger data;
� Knowledge and experience in reporting and analysis delivery tools and applications (e.g., Cognos, Crystal, Business Objects);
