Description:The PR & Social Media Director is responsible for developing the company�s PR & social media strategy and managing the execution across online vehicles including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and blogs. This person will work with the brand marketing and other cross-functional teams to ensure that the social media plan is fully integrated into other consumer programs. The PR & Social Media Director is responsible for ensuring that a consistent brand voice and tone is executed all across all social media communications. In addition, the PR & Social Media Director is responsible for managing a team for executing the strategy across vehicles.

Duties:

  • Serve as brand advocate for developing a strong and ongoing relationship with consumers
  • Develop company PR & social media strategy and supporting content calendar, coordinating with key stakeholders across the company
  • Lead the adoption of social media into the corporate culture, ensuring that relevant social media techniques are leveraged to support all of the company�s products
  • Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities of the team
  • Develop strategy for monthly analytics tracking and ensure proper execution
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of on all new and developing social media tools and trends; ensure that the company strategy incorporates the latest opportunities for consumer engagement
  • Provide recommendations to Product Development, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service teams based on insights gathered from social media monitoring
  • Secure features with industry influencers including bloggers, writers, editorialists
Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of marketing, public relations and corporate communications experience including at least 3 years specifically related to social media marketing
  • 2+ years of team management experience
  • Passionate social media expert: in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants, and how they can be deployed in different situations
  • Proven experience developing social media strategies that leverage Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and blogs
  • Effective people management skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writer
  • Ability to think creatively and analytically, turning insights into actionable recommendations
  • Bachelor�s degree required, MBA is a plus
