| Description: | C7�s colocation infrastructure and engineering team is seeking an Engineer to focus on building world class platforms and solutions to facilitate the company�s colocation service offerings.
We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on engineer with a strong customer focus. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong technical background, excellent inter-personal skills, and with experience in delivering completed projects on time and in a professional manner.
In this role you will be the key person responsible for core infrastructure and related customer systems for 100,000+ square feet of data center raised floor. The company is growing at an accelerated pace and is in need of talent to assist in this growth.

| Duties: | � Research and implement new practices, tools, and technologies to increase efficiency
� Perform architecture and design reviews
� Install and provision new systems as they come online, especially for new facilities
� Operate the NOC, Troubleshoot and Resolve customer issues, as well as perform new customer provisioning
� Perform Incident and Service Request handling via C7�s internal platform
� Work with sales and product management to ensure a positive customer experience
� Train NOC and facilities personnel on procedures and processes both new and old
� Perform installation of new equipment and services (i.e. routers, switches, IPv6, DDoS solutions, etc.)
� Re-provision and migrate customers to new equipment and architectures
� Provide clear documentation, graphical and written, of infrastructure services
� Configure and set up:
o Routing protocols
o Access-List / Route-Maps
o Customer�s Routers/Switches/Firewalls/Load Balancers
o Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, HP, Routers/Switches/Firewalls
o DNS, BIND, DCHP, SYSLOGS, Community Strings, IDS/IPS�s, and DNS appliances
o Track Maintenance expenses for Cisco, Brocade, etc.

| Qualifications: | � 5-7 years experience with TCP/IP networking, routing and switching protocols
� Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience
� 5 years of network design experience, implementation and administration with a strong focus on performance, availability and scalability
� 3-5 years of customer service experience
� Understanding of Solarwinds Orion, SNMP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.
� Excellent communication skills with a solid understanding of customer interaction
� Well versed in resolving customer issues and solving technical problems in a professional manner
� Experience with or working in Co-Location facilities, data center environments and/or supporting infrastructures
� Knowledge and understanding of DDoS appliances and attack mitigation strategies
� Strong understanding of carrier services, fiber paths and types, Ethernet solutions, and multi-homed BGP implementations.
