We are looking for a <b>Linux Applications Analyst</b> to join our Managed Services team. The Linux Applications Analyst is responsible for deploying and maintaining the Retal.net� application suite for our hosted and managed retail environments within the Managed Services group. <br>
<br>
Duties include:<br>
� Installing, upgrading and patching Retail.net� application components;<br>
� Becoming the subject matter expert (SME) for Retail.net� applications and technology stack;<br>
� Providing tier 2/3 support by responding to and resolving escalated tickets from the Applications Support team for customer reported issues;<br>
� Performing off-hours maintenance;<br>
� Participating in rotating 24x7 on-call support coverage;<br>
� Documenting all research and conversations utilizing a ticket tracking system.<br>
� Regularly updating customers of ongoing troubleshooting and resolution efforts, based on issue severity;<br>
� Documenting and reporting product/system design defects to internal teams;<br>
� Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external Tomax customers;<br>
� Following internal change control processes to implement any required production modifications;<br>
� Communicating customer status, concerns and escalation of issues to the appropriate internal Tomax management as needed; and<br>
� Assisting with testing and evaluating solutions and emergency product fixes received from Engineering, as needed. <br>
<br>
The successful candidate must possess:<br>
� Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar area (equivalent work experience will be considered);<br>
� 1-2 years experience in a similar role;<br>
� Experience with Linux administration, preferably using Redhat;<br>
� Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to research system errors, issue re-creation, and read/diagnose log files;<br>
� Ability to build system configurations and roll-out production systems using automation;<br>
� Ability to manage an active open ticket queue, while also being assigned new tickets on a daily basis;<br>
� Excellent prioritizing skills;<br>
� Excellent problem solving skills;<br>
� Excellent verbal and written communication skills;<br>
� Ability to clearly communicate detailed technical information, action plans and case details to customers and/or management;<br>
� Ability to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule during evening hours and over weekends as assigned.<br>
