We are looking for a Director of Managed Services to join our management team. The Director of Managed Services is responsible for the leadership and management of the Managed Services teams, including Application Services, System Services and Project Management teams.
Duties include:
� Leading all operational aspects of Managed Services by ensuring stable, robust and scalable operational processes to support hosted retail customer environments built on the Retail.net Private Cloud, an innovative and forward-looking on-demand platform for retail services or individualized customer specific environments;
� Providing P&L responsibility and accountability for Managed Services.
� Closely managing the delivery of products and services by following strict financial controls;
� Playing an active role in the Managed Services management team by participating in project management prioritization, daily change management meetings and other departmental responsibilities;
� Recruiting, training and continually developing team members;
� Providing technical and personnel guidance, oversight and coaching to team members;
� Creating and implementing standardized processes and improving on existing methodologies, including departmental structures and organizational improvements;
� Ensuring team coverage of 24/7/365 operations, to include data center operations, on-call duties for technical response management and issue resolution;
� Working closely with team leaders to assure high levels of customer satisfaction;
� Managing data center operations in Salt Lake City, Denver, and other selected locations;
� Establishing and maintaining solid vendor and partner relationships;
� Working closely with technical resources on Oracle, Java and Web applications on issues that require a broad range of technical troubleshooting skills relating to the software functionality, data analysis, installations and upgrades to Tomax Retail.net � products;
� Regularly analyzing technical trends in Tomax Retail.net � solutions and providing appropriate feedback to Development, Engineering Services and Executive management; and
� Ensuring that all Managed Services and Tomax policies and procedures are followed by team members.
The successful candidate must possess:
� Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar area (equivalent work experience will be considered);
� 10+ years experience of industry expertice in a highly technical and fast paced environment; including 5+ years experience managing multiple data centers;
� Strong knowledge of and experice with portfolio management of many active customer-centric projects;
� Strong knowledge of Oracle 10g or 11g database operations management;
� Experience deploying web-deployed application suites in a cloud platform environmet;
� Strong understanding of database, server virtualization, storage, networking and data center operations;
� Strong written and verbal communication skills;
� Ability to lead and mentor employees;
� Strong analytical and judgment skills;
� Strong interpersonal skills; and
� Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
