Description:Java Architect / Development Manager

Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented Java software engineer and manager to play a key role in the development of our products. We are looking for a detail oriented, creative problem solver with critical thinking skills who will be an enthusiastic team player. The person in this position will be expected to work under minimal supervision and provide high-quality development and management oversight. This person must be someone who defines success through delivering high-quality data in a frequent, timely manner.

We create tools to capture, process, and deliver data for use in the service and repair industry. We do this in an open agile environment.

With an emphasis on technical knowledge and ability, this position also requires a desire to manage and lead a team of engineers and domain experts.

Essential Functions:

� Architectural Direction � 70%

o Design and optimize tools and processes 40%

o Perform design reviews, unit testing and code reviews on a regular basis 20%

o Author technical design documents 10%

� Project and Team Management � 30%

o Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.

o Work with individual team leaders to ensure that deliverables are on target.

o Identify and resolve issues and conflicts for and between project teams.

o Set and continually manage project expectations with team members, executive management and other stakeholders.

Skills and Required Experience:

� Minimum 5+ years full-time experience developing using Java

� Experience with most of the following tools and protocols: HTML, XML, DOM, XSL, XPath, SQL, JUnit, TFS, ANT, CruiseControl

� Experience with Eclipse RCP, web crawling, or agile development is a plus.

� High level of analytical skills

� Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

� Literacy and fluency in Spanish is a plus

Duties:�Windows administration
�Active Directory administration
�System Virtualization
�Windows clustering
�Experience with Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage including configuration and maintenance.
�Disaster Recovery planning and implementation experience
�Manage all aspects of network hardware, software, security, and infrastructure
Qualifications:�5+ years of Windows system administration experience working within a large corporation.
�Applicant should possess formalized training in the computer science field with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
�Position requires a candidate with a strong technical skillset spanning multiple IT technologies.
�Candidates for this position need to be able to work well with others (locally and afar) and have some flexibility in work schedules. The position will be for the dayshift though as any IT engineering position often requires, will present occasional night and weekend work needs
�The candidate should possess a strong drive to help the company succeed and an ability to deliver and set good examples by continually advancing their skillsets as it relates to the workplace.
