The Pediatric Cardiology Division in the University Of Utah School Of Medicine has an immediate opening for Physician Assistant to assist in the management of the adult congenital clinical services.

| Duties: | 1. Performs history and physical examinations on Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Marfan Syndrome Patients in the outpatient clinic.
2. Performs clinical evaluations of hospitalized patients with Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Marfan syndrome.
3. Communicates via telephone and other follow up with patients and their referring physicians.
4. Follows up on all post-visits pertinent to clinical investigations, including labs, MRI�s, etc.
5. Performs quality assurance including implementing and evaluating disease-specific clinical protocols.
6. Maintains clinical database of adult and adolescent patients with congenital heat disease as well as those adult patients with cardiac conditions associated with connective tissue disorders.
7. Educates clinical support staff and nursing staff.
8. Other duties as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday. 8-5 PM. No evening call or weekend rounding responsibilities |
| Qualifications: | Current licensure to practice as a Physician�s Assistant from the State of Utah. Previous experience with adolescent and adult patients required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
PREFERENCES
Previous experience in Cardiology.
