Description:Coding Supervisor position for individual with 6+ years in coding/billing (2 of those years in a supervisory role) and strong computer skills. CPC preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity with University of Utah Medical Billing, a multi-specialty billing office in a beautiful Research Park location. This position provides an opportunity to work with providers who conduct cutting edge research and patient care. Opportunity to earn CEUs in coding.

Full time, M-F, position supervising 10-12 employees. Pay range approximately $17.50 - $25.00/hour.

Duties:Job Summary:
Provide continual education to physicians and departments regarding appropriate billing for services rendered to patients at University Health Care locations and variety of outreach locations and hospitals. Provide training to UMB staff related to coding guidelines created by the American Medical Association along with guidelines mandated by CMS. Assist supervisor in developing policies, procedures and schedule assignments while evaluating workflow. Handle various employee issues regarding training and professional development. Perform weekly reviews of assignments and workload of individuals to determine accuracy and identify any additional training needed. Address personnel issues with individuals not meeting standards set within the office, or any other issues.
Qualifications:This position requires six years of related experience with at least two of those years in a supervisory capacity. Medical coding certification preferred.
