| Duties: | This position will be responsible for availability, integrity, and security as well as performance management of various Oracle, SQL Server and Sybase databases. The position also requires participation in an on-call rotation with 24/7 support. Additional responsibilities include planning, development and troubleshooting as well as excellent written and verbal communication with strong personal skills.

| Qualifications: | Requirements:
Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
5+ Years in maintaining Oracle/SQL Server/Sybase production OLTP databases or other Enterprise relational database management system
Experience with backup and recovery policies and procedures
Experience with installing, maintaining Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server databases.
Proficiency in SQL programming
Proficient in Linux/Unix Shell scripting
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities
Willing to adjust work schedule as needed
Production experience working in large OLTP 24/7 environment
Problem solving skills are critical, must be proficient troubleshooting production issues
Must work well in a collaborative team environment with limited supervision
Strong aptitude and willingness to learn and master new technologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
3+ years of experience with SQL Server TSQL and maintenance plans
Network Appliance Snap Manager for SQL
2+ years of experience with Oracle 10g, 11g,
11gR2 RAC using ASM
Proficiency in PL/SQL programming
Experience with database architecture and data modeling
Experience with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN)
Experience working with Oracle e-Business Suite Release 12
Understand and maintain Oracle BPEL interfaces
Install and maintain Oracle Streams
Install and maintain Oracle Application Express
(APEX)
Working knowledge of database and application cloning |
