| Description: | The Game Development Studio Manager will be responsible for planning and directing the accomplishment of game development objectives for the company as well as being engaged in defining, developing, and launching new games.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and directs the work of studio staff to ensure successful creation and delivery of games to the marketplace by:
making key design and management decisions for the team,
scheduling tasks including tracking dependencies and managing change requests,
managing resource allocation and utilisation
guaranteeing quality of deliveries,
developing and mentoring staff.
Monitors progress of projects, confers with project office, and reviews reports to see that development is progressing according to schedule and within budgetary guidelines.
Provides innovation management (effectively harnesses creativity of others) and effective team building.
Reports to the VP, R&D Games on a regular basis. Works closely with the VP, R&D Games and other senior personnel to establish long-range operating goals. Develops and implements Operating Plans based on organizational strategy.
Communicates effectively, tactfully and comfortably with all levels of personnel within the organisation � internal and external to R&D.
Manages studio P&L and budget.
Recommends methods, processes and structures for improvement based on delivery needs and capabilities.
Builds, develops and manages the team to accomplish game development goals efficiently and authorizes recruitment of additional resource as required.
Other duties as assigned.

| Duties: | Managers / Supervisors / Team Leaders must:
Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all employees, visitors and contractors within your area of control.
Ensure all relevant sections of the Health and Safety Management plan are implemented and understood.
Assess, review the effectiveness and consult with their team on any proposed changes of the OSHA Management System and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
Ensure accident / incident investigations are conducted to determine their causes and take appropriate corrective action as required.
Ensure injured workers are rehabilitated and an early return to the workplace is achieved.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislative requirements.

| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or its equivalent.
Experience: Requires a minimum of five years of experience in game development, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
Skills, knowledge, and qualifications:
Demonstrated track record in developing people and motivating teams to accomplish goals
Experience in managing multi-discipline teams (creative, technical and project management)
Sound financial and budget management skills.
Strong leadership characteristics and ability to motivate others to achieve results.
Strong team player with ability to build a high performing team.
Well-developed commercial acumen with customer focus.
Planning and strategic thinking - an ability to plan and direct to meet future business and customer requirements.
Ability to think innovatively.
Able to organize and manage multiple priorities.
