| Description: | The IT Administrator manages the implementation of corporate policies, programs, and procedures to cost-effectively protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction. Develops, maintains, publishes, and enforces corporate information security standards and guidelines encompassing data and intellectual security. Proactively protects the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information in the custody of, or processed by, the company. Manages and coordinates compliance for required industry audits by helping to identify issues, anticipate and solve problems, and provide customer service to internal and external customers based on your ability to prioritize and initiate solutions. Manages and monitors the intrusion detection mechanisms, firewall logs, and other relevant reports to avoid computer hacking and any other unauthorized and suspicious activity. Ensures development and maintenance of firewall configurations to ensure appropriate security change management policies are being maintained.
Responsibilities:
� Administer, install, configure, troubleshoot and repair Linux network server systems
� Website and intranet installation, configuration, and maintenance
� Plan and implement network security, build firewalls, manage host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and user management
� Identify LAN/WAN utilization patterns and their effect on system availability and performance. Anticipate network problems and implement preventive measures.
� Evaluate and recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment and software
� Investigate user problems, identify the sources, determine possible solutions, and implement/test solutions
� Participate in on-call rotational schedule
Qualifications:
� 5 or more years in IT experience with 3 years of security/infrastructure protection and infosecurity audit experience.
Required Skills:
� Must have hands-on working knowledge of the following technical areas: Windows Active Directory administration, Linux administration, MYSQL administration, Apache, iis, Sonic Wall routers, DNS, SMT
� Must be able to effectively work on multiple projects concurrently
� Strong organizational and time management skills
� Excellent written and oral communication skills
� Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
� Excellent problem solving skills
