Strategic Growth Exec.

The Utah Technology Council is seeking a Strategic Growth & Government Relations Exec. to advance the Council’s:

• Strategic Growth in larger relationships and corporate partnerships
• Develop and deliver a compelling Member Value Proposition resulting in increased involvement and return on investment (time and money)
• Accelerate critical mass in Life Science sector
• Increase coverage for UTC’s advocacy to improve the technology industry’s business environment (i.e., proactively work with the state legislature and Public Policy Forum)

TRACK RECORD: Proven executive track record is a must which is transferable to further scale UTC’s strong growth.  Proven ability to work closely and across functions w/ Council’s high-performance team.  Will report to the CEO and work closely with its Executive Director and the Director of Membership to expand the Council’s capacity.

A successful candidate must be: (1) Proactive and self-motivated to deliver on a demanding and visible workload with many moving parts; (2) Results-driven to deliver value; (3) Superb written skills to lead UTC’s communications (e.g., internally with newsletter/website, and externally to tell the industry’s dynamic and impressive story; (4) Excellent interpersonal communicator; (5) Trusted and flexible team member; and (6) Committed to “make a difference” in our technology cause including a minimum three-year commitment.

Excellent relevant experience required with advanced degree (MBA preferred) with minimum 15-20 years’ applicable work experience in successful marketing/sales management, communications, and government relations to expand UTC’s strategic capacity. Solid life science (LS) experience and expertise would be a plus to continue to grow the LS community. Market-based compensation based on experience and achieving performance metrics.
