| Description: | Duties and Responsibilities
The Product Manager – Innovative Educational Technology will evaluate and acquire rights to technology based educational content. He or she will be responsible for:
- Identifying and evaluating technology based educational content (educational games, multi-user virtual environments, simulations, digital textbooks, dynamic presentation tools, online video and vodcasts, etc.), and negotiating the rights to use them.
- Building and maintaining WGU’s relationships with organizations that create advanced digital learning experiences, including platform providers, publishers, other universities, and government.
- Fostering the development of new technology based educational content, and improvements to existing content.
As a sourcing agent for advanced educational technology, the individual in this role will excel at fulfilling identified needs for innovative instruction and assessment, while also constantly identifying and surfacing new opportunities to enhance student competency through advanced educational technology.

| Qualifications: | Required Experience and Skills
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, exceptionally efficient online research skills, and experience with effective content-driven learning experiences are required. Demonstrated success with regard to the creation and maintenance of business partnerships and vendor relationships is also required. A basic understanding of human-machine interaction science and instructional design will be helpful to success in this role.
